Michele is a film industry professional and an award-winning business owner. She was recently included as a successful business profile in the 2019 B.C. Small Business Profile online publication.
Michele has been teaching acting for over 25 years and has years of experience in front and behind the camera. TDC is her third acting school. She brings years of experience to her students and is a big advocate for arts and culture in our community.

An actor with over 140 Film and TV credits on IMDb, Cat can currently be seen in the role of "Petra Bellweather" on the new hit series Motherland: Fort Salem for Freeform, and as "Terry Sternholz" in The Aurora Teagarden Mysteries for Hallmark.
In addition to acting and coaching, which she has done for over 20 years, Cat was an associate producer of Reel Women Seen, a short film that has won numerous awards including the 2018 Jury Choice Award at the Diversity in Cannes Short Film Showcase. Cat received the 2008 Women in Film and Television Vancouver's Special Jury Award, was named as the Union of BC Performers’ 2013 International Women’s Day Honoree and was awarded Life Membership by UBCP in 2017.
Julianne Christie is an award- winning actress and director with 25 plus years experience between Los Angeles and Vancouver. She is a graduate from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and has over 40 IMDb credits in film and television.
Over the last decade Julianne has increased focus on the teaching of our craft, and is currently teaching master classes in theatre, television and film auditioning, Adult scene study, and improv courses for THE DRAMA CLASS!
She is also the Creator/Director of a new comedy series coming out of Hollywood North called The Vancouver Actor’s Guild.
Lynda MacNeil, is an Actor, Makeup Artist, Acting Coach and "Stage Mother". Lynda started out in the industry as a Makeup Artist but when the opportunity came to train as actor with the great Antony Holland and Catherine Caines she jumped at the chance. Taking time out to raise her family Lynda devoted herself to shepherding their successful acting careers. Now that her children are adults Lynda has resumed her own acting career. She has been teaching at The Drama class for the past four years. Helping children develop their skills and realize their potential is one of Lynda’s favorite things to do.
Laine MacNeil has been acting since she was 10 years old. She has worked in many film and TV projects including You Me Her for which she was nominated for a Canadian Screen Actors Award. Other notable projects include The Killing, Deadly Class, The Diary of a Wimpy Trilogy and the yet to be released film Spontaneous. Laine has been an instructor at The Drama Class for the last four years.
Kelly-Ruth's teaching is informed by her path which includes as much time spent on stage & in front of the camera as she has spent in production. A true multi-hyphenate, K-R started working as an actor in the mid-80's and has amassed a broad range of experience. As an actor, she's a series recurring on "Snowpiercer" and "The Good Doctor," and can be seen on many tv movies, series, and features. With a background in theatre, K-R's instruction offers a broad range of techniques required across performance media. An award-winning screenwriter with a host of nominations & wins as a short film director and producer, her work has been broadcast in Canada & has appeared at festivals abroad. She holds a BA (acting) and an MFA (Directing), & is a graduate of the Women In The Director's Chair. K-R has juried for the Leo Awards, the Gemini Awards (now the CSA's), & the WIDC. For TDC, she teaches Acting Foundations, Scene Study, and Text Analysis.
Erin has been performing in the Greater Vancouver area for the past 27 years, and teaching at The Drama Class for the past 2 years. She has been working in the Vancouver film industry since 2011. In addition to performing, Erin is a certified Early Childcare Educator with 8 years childcare experience. She has worked with children of all ages, from 6 weeks to 17 years. In her classes, she likes to use developmentally appropriate techniques and approaches to help children achieve a greater understanding of "the craft". This often includes using visuals, child appropriate language,and lots of colouring sheets!
Primarily focusing on theatre, Dann has appeared on stages from Stanley Park to Chilliwack and many points in between over the last 25+ years. An award-winning musical theatre actor and director, he has been nominated for numerous Community Theatre Coalition awards for his work on stage as well as behind the scenes. He is also an active writer, singer, music director and producer.
Olivia Etey is a Vancouver-based playwright, stage manager and creator. She holds a double major in Creative Writing and English Honours from UBC. This year, Olivia began the Or Festival: a ten minute play festival that celebrates the power of meaningful, real human connection and how it arises when individuals come together to create or experience theatre. She is ecstatic to be teaching this summer at the Drama Class alongside the phenomenal and formidable Chelsey Kolenda. Thank you Michele!!!

I am an Insurance Broker and have been in the Insurance/Financial Industry for over 25 years. I’ve enjoyed it all from Receptionist; back office; client service; office manager to sales! I love protecting families from the unexpected.
Having a family/pets, volunteering in the hockey world, making chocolates and greeting cards keeps me busy….but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
