Prerequisites:
Attending one of the Zoom workshops is required to participate in the photoshoot on Saturday, November 21st.
Synopsis:
Your Headshot Strategy is both a workshop and a photoshoot provided over two sessions.
In the workshop session (provided online over Zoom), both emerging and established actors will be guided in developing their unique headshot strategy. In the following headshot session at Kevin Clarks Studios, that strategy will be put into action, supported by the team who helped to build it.
Concepts explored:
In these two sessions, we’ll give you step-by-step, personalized, coaching on the dos and don’ts of making impactful first impressions with your headshots, then we get those plans underway with a photoshoot that will get Your Headshot Strategy in action.
In the Online Workshop, we will:
Explore the current way headshots are now utilized and the common mistakes made when shooting & selecting headshots
Evaluate your current headshots and create alignment with how your agent submits you
Create photo goals for maximizing efficiency at the photo shoot
Review strategies for selecting wardrobe to “dress to suggest” without being costume-y
Examine the use of body language, hair and makeup to enhance a variety of characters created in photos while maintaining an authentic representation of the actor

From the Photo Shoot at Kevin Clark Studios in Vancouver on Saturday, November 21 9am - 1:00pm (Pacific)* you will receive:
Support with creating "One Look, Two Ways"
2 retouched photos from the shoot included, with the option to purchase more
On site guidance by the teaching team to achieve photo goals
Increased confidence in front of the camera with real time feedback and support
Your instructors Catherine Lough Haggquist, Laine MacNeil, and Bronwen Smith are working actors with collectively many hundreds of credits as well as years teaching and coaching.
You need to take this if:
Your agent is submitting you, but casting isn’t inviting you to audition
You aren’t sure how to create variety in your headshots while maintaining an authentic representation of yourself
You are getting short listed by casting and not landing the roles after being “submitted to network”
At the end of these sessions you will not only have two new headshots for your agent to use in creating audition submission opportunities, but you will also have gained the confidence and strategy skills to use for all your future headshot sessions.
