10AM-12NOON Mon-Fri CAD $250 Special Industry Guest Ally Copeland, Premiere Talent! All camps are held on Zoom. Learning how to do a self-tape is now part of the job of being an actor. This camp will help young Actors explore what they need to know about the self-tape audition. We will cover important topics such as equipment needed, wardrobe, location, lighting, editing, slating and performance skills casting directors look for in self-tapes. On the final day of the camp, participants will receive individual feedback on their self-tape from our special industry guest. Schedule: Day 1: Working on cold material Day 2-3: Working on assigned material for exploration Day 4: Polishing in preparation for showcase Day 5: Showcasing to industry guest (CD, Agent or Director) The new industry standard is that actors audition and attend callbacks from home via self-tapes and Zoom meetings. These fun and interactive camps will prepare young actors for how the industry has changed and help them to develop the skills that will be needed to be a professional actor both now, and in the future. Family members are welcome to attend! Please note what is REQUIRED to take this camp: Since we are having talent agents on the last day to discuss the student's self-tapes, we want to make sure your tapes are the best! Parents participation guarantees success. Parents need to read the documents that will be sent by the instructor and assist their child in creating their self-tape for the camp. Please make sure your camera (smart phone) is set up at your child's eye level when taping. Using a tri-pod is the best. Please make sure your background is clear of clutter. Please shoot against a wall (light gray, taupe or blue is best) or use a blue backdrop. Please make sure you have proper lighting. Don't worry about sound equipment. The microphone on your smartphone works just fine for self-tapes. **All of this information is included in the class booklet that will be emailed to the students on the first day. It would best for parents to attend the first day as we will go over all of this information. Please email the instructor, Michele Partridge on firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
