Character Drama Camps

Ages 7 – 10:

  • FULL  — 5 DAY CAMP IN JULY — Mon – Fri / July 17 – 21, 10am – Noon
  • 5 DAY CAMP IN AUGUST — Mon – Fri / Aug. 21 – 25, 10am – Noon

  • 5 DAY CAMP in JULY — Mon – Fri / July 17 – 21, 2 – 4pm
  • 5 DAY CAMP IN AUGUST — Mon – Fri / Aug. 21 – 25, 2 – 4pm

 

Spend the week doing these fun things:
– learn tons of theatre games
– learn what improvisation is (acting without a script and using your imagination)
– learn how to create different characters using your voice, body, costumes and props
– learn to play in a group or by yourself on stage
– learn how to listen and react to your fellow actors while in a scene
– learn how to break down a script to get what you want in a scene
– learn stage directions
– learn how to present a final performance on stage for your parents on the last day
$150 + GST per student/per camp

Summer Writing & Performance Camp

Ages 11 – 16

Mon – Fri / August 14 – 18, 10am – 2pm

 

Spend the week doing these fun things:
– learn tons of theatre games
– learn what improvisation is (acting without a script and using your imagination)
– learn how to create different characters using your voice, body, costumes and props
– learn to play in a group setting or by yourself on stage
– learn how to listen and react to your fellow actors while in a scene
– learn how to break down a script to get what you want in a scene
– learn stage directions
– learn how to work together in a group to brainstorm ideas
– learn how to structure and write story ideas into a 3 act play
– learn how to create believable, fun characters for actors to play
– learn about the basic elements of a play and of a scene and how to apply them to our own original creations
– learn about and explore different genres of drama
– learn about all the roles that are needed to make a successful performance (props, costumes, directing, writing, acting, etc.)
– learn how to present a final performance on stage for your parents on the last day
